Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 33 Review

INFINITY 6 – Three Guardians

Recap: Sailor Pluto is back, as we saw in the previous episode, and Chibi Moon immediately asks her if she’s real. She answers that she was brought back by Neo Queen Serenity’s power, and Sailor Moon transforms into Serenity in front of the entire group. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune introduce themselves to her as the Outer Solar System Guardians, and Pluto follows suit.

INFINITY 5 Setsuna Meioh – SAILOR PLUTO

Recap:

Setsuna was introduced at the very end of the previous episode, as a student at the Academy. (How is she alive? It is a mystery that may be explained in a future episode.) At the beginning of episode 32, she’s in her lab researching the distorted space around Sankakusu. Sankakusu is looking pretty bad, what with giant dark clouds looming above it and all…

INFINITY 4 Haruka Tenoh, Michiru Kaioh – SAILOR URANUS, SAILOR NEPTUNE

Hey, we’re finally at the episode where we get to see Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus’ transformations!

Recap: As soon as the episode begins, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus face off with the other Sailor Guardians, insisting that they’re not allies. After Chibimoon remarks that Neptune’s mirror is one of the talismans (since Michiru called it her talisman last episode) the group assumes she’s been causing their bad dreams. Instead of stating if she did cause them one way or another, Sailor Uranus performs a World Shaking at the group to get them to go away. It works. We don’t see exactly what happens, as the scene changes, but the main group is physically unharmed when we see them again. They’re mostly angry that Uranus attacked them, but Moon really wants to know if they’re actually their enemy or not.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 27 Review

 INFINITY 1 – Premonition – First Part

Much like JoJo, Sailor Moon Crystal has started up again! Unlike JoJo, though, Sailor Moon Crystal‘s schedule wasn’t the clearest. Up until the day it aired, I had no idea what time it was going to start. Was it going to be in the morning, the afternoon, or what? How often were episodes going to be released? Twice a month again? I read from some sources that the episodes were to be weekly, unlike the first two seasons, but I wasn’t sure if that was true or not. (This is why I said they were probably using the ‘first and third Saturday’ a month schedule again when I reviewed the trailer. Turns out I was wrong! Oops!)

Apparently Sailor Moon Crystal will be airing every Monday for 13 weeks. Good to know!

Anyway, I was hesitant about this episode because of how inconsistent Crystal was before. I mean, just how much could Toei improve?

Review: Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 5

Review: Sailor Moon Crystal

Episode 5

Act 5: Makoto – Sailor Jupiter

After several somewhat lackluster episodes, I am finally happy to announce that episode 5 of Sailor Moon Crystal was a rousing success. The only reason why I took so long in writing this review is that I have had some technical difficulties going on with my site and didn’t get around to getting everything sorted out until recently. Anyway, without further ado: here’s my long delayed review! (Oh, that even rhymes.)

So, much like the previous episodes that were right before the introduction of a new Guardian, the end of episode 4 teased the viewers about the newest addition to the team, Sailor Jupiter. I was nervous about this, only due to the low production value of episodes 2 and 3, which were the other Guardian introduction episodes. However, I assumed (probably naively) that the three week gap between episodes 4 and 5 would allow for the production team to tidy up any loose strands, so to speak. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nice the episode looked as a whole.
