JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders Episode 48 Review – FINALE

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders Episode 48 Review – FINALE

Episode 48: Long Journey Farewell, My Friends

DIO, a balanced individual.
DIO, a balanced individual.

Here we are, folks! The final episode of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is upon us at last. I was completely wrong about its air date, since I naively assumed that the series would reach 52 episodes; I hadn’t read the manga, though, so I didn’t know exactly how long the DIO fight was. Oops!

Am I complaining that the series was too short? Not at all. I just thought it’d be 52 episodes since many two-part anime series run that long, but the lack of filler here made it so we stopped at 48. This means that Sailor Moon Crystal (which I didn’t forget about, I swear) will be the only currently-airing series I’ll be reviewing for the next few weeks, but that’ll be over soon, as well.

I’ll figure out ideas for more content by the time that’s over. For now, though, sit back and enjoy our last Stardust Crusaders episode!

DIO’s World, Part 3

I’m finally feeling less sad about the last episode, which is a good thing because I seriously don’t have time to just sit around and mope about a depressing scene in an anime. I mean, I think it’s great when you get emotionally involved in something fictional, like a book or movie, don’t get me wrong. I just think that dwelling on an emotion-provoking incident is a bad idea.

So, moving along; we’re probably on the final stretch here with Stardust Crusaders. I have no idea how much longer this fight will continue, honestly, but I doubt we’ll get to 52 episodes like I originally thought.

Am I ready for this wild ride to end? I think so.

DIO’s World, Part 2

I know, I’m choosing the very last frame in the episode as my header image. It works, though.

I’m not going to lie. I kind of dreaded reviewing this episode. Have you ever felt like you could kind of tell what was going to happen in something, be it a book, movie, or show and you didn’t really want to continue reading or watching because you were worried you might be right? That’s how I felt going into this, since the end of the previous episode set us up for something potentially happening to my favorite Stardust Crusaders character.

Sigh. Well, no matter what, I’m going to have to review this, so I guess I should begin.

DIO’s World, Part 1

It's DIO's World!
It’s DIO’s World!

If you follow my Twitter (and you should if you enjoy my writing!) you’ll know that I went on vacation and then caught a cold, which is why I’m just now squeaking out these reviews. I’m hideously late. That being said, I’m going to catch up with a vengeance because we’re at the part of the series everyone’s been anxiously waiting for – the DIO fight!

I expect a lot to go on during these final episodes, so I’m going to keep the introductions brief.

Episode 44: The Miasma of the Void, Cool (Vanilla) Ice, Part 3

Star Platinum is upset that there are less than ten episodes left.

Vanilla Ice is the worst. I know I went on about how Terence D’Arby was a menacing guy before, but Vanilla Ice takes everything D’Arby did and amplifies it by a thousand. He’s just that bad.

I’m not going to spoil anything before the jump because we’re in the serious part of this series now and I really, really don’t want to ruin anyone’s experience by blowing anything before anyone can click away. As I said last review, if you haven’t watched this episode first, please go do that! It’s necessary for the full experience, trust me.

My body is completely prepared for the rest of this season; last episode was pretty much the selling point for me to just be ready for whatever’s going to come. I mean, they’re really, really close to DIO now, so there aren’t going to be any more whimsical, funny moments. As much as I enjoyed the Terence D’Arby episodes, I think they were the last to have any kind of ‘fun.’ I could be wrong, of course, but I just have that feeling.

Anyway, I don’t like to say too much before the jump here, especially since we’re in Spoiler Territory proper, now. If you’d prefer to experience this story for yourself first, please go watch this episode before reading my recap/review. Trust me, it’s more impactful that way.
