JoJo Figure Buying Guide – Statue Legend

JoJo Figure Buying Guide – Statue Legend

(Parts 1 through 3)

There are more figures for JoJo out there than the Super Action Statue line, which I’ve written about here and here (for the Stands). There are expensive, large figures with real clothing (known as Real Action Heroes, which I’ll talk about later) and statues fairly similar in size to the SAS line without articulation or extra accessories, known as Statue Legend.

Statue Legend is produced and designed by Di Molto Bene, the same company that makes Minissimo. The Statue Legend line is long and covers most of the parts of JoJo, and continues to add more and more characters to its collection to this day. Aside from the lack of articulation, the crucial difference between this line and Super Action Statue line is that Statue Legend consists of not only main characters, but side and less prominent characters as well, both good and evil.

Since the Statue Legend line is pretty big, I’ll be cutting this down to several posts. This post will cover parts 1 through 3 — Phantom Blood through Stardust Crusaders. Once the other posts are written and published, I’ll link them here. 🙂

Note! This line, as far as I am aware, DOES NOT have any bootlegs! This is great news since it makes it easier to safely buy a figure without worrying about poor quality. This may change in the future but this line has been out for quite some time, so you’d think it’d have been bootlegged by now if it was going to be.

While I’m at it with the bold text, let me also throw out a disclaimer that the Amazon and eBay links are affiliate links that provide me a very small commission of off every purchase. This comes to no extra cost to you, but I want to let you know that they do help me out some! Thank you!

Skoshbox Review January 2017

Yep, I’m actually writing this review right after receiving the box! I’m trying to be better about doing that this year, among other things. Anyway, last month’s box was great, and upon first glance this one looks great, too. Let’s find out if that’s actually true!

Skoshbox Review December 2016

I’m a bit late on this one, sorry! I’ve been busy with the holidays and adopting a new kitten, so Skoshbox was put on the backburner for longer than I’d like. That being said, this box was a very nice change from November’s and I was excited to review it ever since it arrived in the mail!

JoJo Stands Figure Buying Guide

JoJo Stands Figure Buying Guide

STANDS ONLY!

EDIT: July 2017 – Added one SBR listing.

Last month, I compiled a guide about where to buy the JoJo characters’ Super Action Statue figures. I neglected to list the available Stands due to space constraints, but now I’m ready to make a post all about them!

As stated in the previous guide, these figures vary in price and rarity, and some of these may no longer be available for close to retail. That being said, there’s always a chance of any Stand receiving a reprint in their original color — the chance is higher if the part it comes from is airing on TV.

Note! This line, as far as I am aware, DOES NOT have any bootlegs! This is great news since it makes it easier to safely buy a figure without worrying about poor quality. This may change in the future but this line has been out for quite some time, so you’d think it’d have been bootlegged by now if it was going to be.

JoJo Figure Buying Guide – NO STANDS

EDIT: July 2017 – Added SBR figures.

Christmas is right around the corner, and there are lots of very cool things out there to buy and wish for. One set of items I’m really fond of, and think are great gifts to give to JoJo fans, is the Super Action Statue line by Medicos. Medicos pretty much has a hold on JoJo figures, save for the Real Action Heroes line by Medicom Toy and various prize figures; they also produce everything under the Di Molto Bene line, like Minissimos.

The Super Action Statue line is big. Every JoJo part is represented by at least one figure, making it fairly easy to obtain one of your favorite character. I’ve compiled a list of the characters available in each part (that I’m aware of, there may be a mistake here and there) and where to buy them. Some of the figures are long out of print and expensive now, but those are mostly certain color schemes. If you’re not particularly set on a certain color (like pink Killer Queen, for example) there are cheaper alternatives available to you.

I will be making another post with just the Stands available since this would be waaaaay too long if I included them here!

Note! This line, as far as I am aware, DOES NOT have any bootlegs! This is great news since it makes it easier to safely buy a figure without worrying about poor quality. This may change in the future but this line has been out for quite some time, so you’d think it’d have been bootlegged by now if it was going to be.

Skoshbox Review November 2016

Skoshbox Review November 2016

Skoshbox had stated a few months ago that it would be forming a partnership with Tokyo Otaku Mode, but things wouldn’t really change much. Needless to say, I was kind of surprised when I saw how different November’s box looked from the previous ones. It’s still blue, but taller, resulting in a space above the snacks. This space isn’t necessarily a good thing, as it makes you feel like you’re not getting a whole lot in the box.

(Note: Sailor Moon isn’t included in this box, unfortunately. She’s just a little Prism Cafe Ochatomo figure I bought on Amazon a while ago. She’s very cute!)

Still, I’ll look past that and see how November’s selection holds up.
